You shut your mouth
How can you say?
I go about things the wrong way

Interesting little disclosure by Warren K on his website today:
I love Israel and her people, and I have always tended to be Zionist in my perspective on events in the Middle East. Unlike other Christians - particularly social conservatives - I am not bound to Israel for scriptural reasons (or post 9/11 strategic reasons). To me, my unqualified support for Israel stems from history, and from justice: that is, throughout the length and breadth of history, the Jewish people, and Israel, have been denied justice. They continued to be denied justice.
Not to be too hard on old Warren, but why does he bring this up now? I realize he has a long history of battling anti-semitism, etc, but why does the issue of Israel seem non-existent on his website?
I'll hazard a guess and say it's for the same reasons that Naomi Klein sometimes keeps her head low when the issue comes up-The left is extremely intolerant of pro-Israeli commentary. Naomi, for her part, attempted to calm the left after 9/11 and made a plea in the Globe for tolerance of Jewish people. Still, she decided to hang out with Jagghi Singh in old Quebec city during the riots, writing puff pieces for him, while he planned the shenanigans at Cordordia for Netanhayu's (sp?) visit. I feel at least some sympathy for Naomi and Warren: Their side often shows remarkable intolerance, so it's extra hard to paint the right as such. Pain in the ass, really.
The Liberals dithered on calling Hizbollah a terrorist organization.
Trudeau used to ride around Quebec City in a convertable with a Swastika on his arm during WW 2. What a patriot.
Tom Wappel (ahahhahahahah) is a Liberal.
Martin has been a shill for Syria (recently) and the Tamil Tigers.
Landslide Annie has called Conservative supporters liars and bigots.
Kalle Lasn is still the biggest unreported anti-semite in Canada (has Naomi renounced her connection with Adbusters yet?).
