A religious leader in Canada has decided that alcohol should be banned on campuses across the nation! No beer, no spirits, no wine and no good times! He hides his reasoning in 'costs' and 'morality' but not religion.
He's the president of the Canadian Islamic Congress. They just happen to be on the periphery of islamic terrorism investigations across Canada.
"Campus booze, no! Islamic Terrorism, Yes!" should be the title of this one.

During the first week of September thousands of first-year students will attend frosh week at university and college campuses across this country. It is a week of orientation, socializing, and fun. But it is a week when the consumption of alcoholic beverages reaches its peak. Why would universities, where the young minds of our nation are learning and doing research, passively accept or even facilitate the killing of billions of brain cells in these same young minds?
I know of no Canadian university or college campus where the consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited. However, a growing number of U.S. campuses not only prohibit alcohol consumption on campus but also at off-campus university-sponsored events. I hope this trend catches on in Canada. Professors (and I'm one of them) know that our Friday afternoon classes are often missed because many of our students are in on-campus bars. Alcohol-related accidents, rape, assault, public disturbance, and even death can result from excessive alcohol consumption, especially during frosh weeks and at end-of-year graduation parties. Why should student fees and taxpayers' money be (mis)used to pay for the consumption of alcohol by faculty, staff and students on campus?
Yeah, right, alcohol = rape. Not like in *certain countries* where the oh-so-sober decide to mutilate and beat women. And no "public disturbances" are recorded except for the constant barrage of state and religious violence.
