..And Here She Is! 1984's Miss I Don't Know What The Hell I Am Doin'!

The beauty pageant contestant was having her own brief moment in the sun today:
"Since our opponents in this presidential election seem to look down on
that experience, let me explain to them what the job involves," Palin said in
excerpts of her remarks, released in advance of her appearance. "I guess a
small-town mayor is sort of like a 'community organizer,' except that you have
actual responsibilities."
Exactly. I mean who likes super talented altruists involved in public service, anyways?
After four years in New York City, Obama moved to Chicago to work as a community organizer for three years from June 1985 to May 1988 as director of the Developing Communities Project (DCP), a church-based community organization originally comprising eight Catholic parishes in Greater Roseland (Roseland, West Pullman, and Riverdale) on Chicago's far South Side.[12][14] During his three years as the DCP's director, its staff grew from 1 to 13 and its annual budget grew from $70,000 to $400,000, with accomplishments including helping set up a job training program, a college preparatory tutoring program, and a tenants' rights organization in Altgeld Gardens
I'm sure her stint as mayor of Nobody-Gives-A-**** ville was just as inspiring.

To quote Bill Maher, regarding her "responsibilities" as mayor:
"When she got the phone call at 3am, it was because a moose got in the garbage
can."
I guess all that time Obama spent as a constitutional rights professor and as a state and federal senator aren't worth comparing to her stellar record of shootin' stuff and travelling outside of the Alaska that one time.

Bottom line: If the republicans and Ms. Palin want to make this election a showdown between Palin vs. Obama they are going on a long hike off a short pier.

The Trophy Veep goes on to say:
"Here's a little news flash for all those reporters and commentators: I'm not going to Washington to seek their good opinion - I'm going to Washington to serve the people of the country,"
Which is great because a month ago she said....

Let's just assume she got that all figured out. It wouldn't be like she was totally unprepared for the job or anything.

....yeah...
