News of the World: Persia Styles

A circumstance beyond our control
The phone, the tv and the news of the world
Got in the house like a pigeon from hell
Threw sand in our eyes and descended like flies
Put us back on the train
Oh, back on the chain gang

Iran is caught slippin':
UN Cites Iranian Atomic Weapons Plan as Council Looms

Feb. 1 (Bloomberg) -- The United Nations' nuclear watchdog found plans needed to build an atomic weapon in Iran, contradicting the country's claims its research effort is peaceful, and bolstering chances the case will go to the Security Council.

The International Atomic Energy Agency found a ``document for the casting of enriched and depleted uranium metal into hemispheres, related to the fabrication of nuclear weapons components,'' read a four-page report obtained by Bloomberg News. The report will be presented to the IAEA's 35-nation board of governors at an emergency meeting tomorrow.

Wow. Okay, and Russia and China have already agreed to send Iran to the UNSC. Who knew soft power might get a consensus? We'll see if they get results......

Also, it's wise that the US is keeping a low profile on this one.....They know their WMD talk is not carrying any weight, so it's best to let Europe do the heavy lifting.
