"The Ambassador has to realize that Canada is not going to sit back and knuckle under...Canadians have had enough."

Federal Trade Minister Jim Peterson said Canadians were not in any rush to get back to the negotiating table.

"We will go back to the table only when it's in the best interests for Canada," he told Question Period.

"We know that the world is watching the U.S. and the way it treats Canada -- it's closest trading partner."

On Saturday, Federal Conservative leader Stephen Harper waded into the fray.

"I think the U.S. ambassador is way out of line,"

As the guys in Office Space would say: ****in' A.

That is an interesting quote about how the "world is watching". I wonder if a move to put this spat onto the world stage is in the works. That could be embarrassing if the US negotiations with Iran or NoKo were to be interrupted with the news that "Hey! The you reneged on iron clad deals with Canada! Why the **** should we trust you guys?"

One thing the US doesn't have a rep for is going back on written contracts. That might be about to change and it will compromise their integrity on the world stage. This isn't Kyoto, an agreement that wasn't ratified- We're talking about something that has been under agreement for over 10 years.
