Music Notes: Eminem retiring, Oasis reloads, Muggs/GZA retool
Stand by me
Nobody knows
The way its gonna be
--Oasis

1. Contrary to the rumours, Eminem is still on point and not retiring. 50's made plans for that eventuality, however:
"The day he retires is the day you will see me all over MTV," 50 Cent joked. "I'll be at the Movie Awards. I'll be doing news. You'll get sick of me."

Hmmm. A genius replaced with a barely literate drug monkey. Outstanding.

2. Oasis smoked in Manchester at a recent show. Moneyquote:
Oasis’ recent renaissance is not just about nostalgia but – at last – the promise of their future.

3. GZA the genius and DJ Muggs are going to team up. How. Sweet. Is. That?
DJ Muggs of the legendary group Cypress Hill and The Wu-Tang's own Gza are prepping to release their collabo project, DJ Muggs vs. Gza: Grandmasters.

DJ Muggs vs. Gza: Grandmasters is set to be released on October 25th on Angeles Records. The album includes 11 tracks featuring the Genius on the mic and the Soul Assassin behind the boards.

Apparently, Muggs is into mashups....it would be great to see a Black Sunday/36 Chambers mashup, no?

Note: I'm not getting into the London bombing stuff today...It seems the fools blew their cover and didn't kill anyone. This looks like a win for the West, because there was no loss of life, and the terrorists lost another PR battle. Nice.
