The Great Wall

Simatai
And the living's easy

We braved over 3 hours of non-stop near death experiences on the highway out of Beijing, but made it to the wall, at the area known as Jinshanling. From there we made our way on foot to Simatai.

As soon as the pictures are available, I will post them....for right now you can check out some of the views here, at my old buddy Kyle's website.

It was a bit of a death march, but it was worth it. The Germans in our group got a little lost and we waited for them, killing beers in 30 something degree humidity. Rough times. Rough times, indeed.

Tomorrow, a harsh rain pour is expected, but we will do the square tonight and maybe a hutong tour tomorrow.

Interesting times.
