Gomery, Brault, Grewel

Interesting observation in the NY Times:
Journalists and anyone else can attend the so-called Gomery commission hearings, and Mr. Morrissey said one of them, whom he would not identify, had approached him and had been passing him information for his blog.
Ahhhh, interesting. I wonder who this source is. There might be hints in the writing of the Captain's Quarters. Motives? Wow, any journalist who has a beef with the Liberal party.....(National Post, I'm looking in your direction). All speculation, of course, but I'm guessing it's not Chantal Hebert.

Speaking of motives in the media: What is with the Grewel revalations?
Gurmant Grewal's practice of asking for bond promises attacked
Canadian Press
April 5, 2005

OTTAWA (CP) -- A Conservative MP's practice of demanding $50,000 bond promises from some constituents seeking his help with visitors' visas has raised the ire of the federal immigration minister.
Yeah, Grewel did admit to this, but he admitted it on March 24, 2005....And it only came to light the day after the media blitz on the Brault testimony. If this was reported on March 24, you can bet it would be all forgotten by now in the wake of the Gomery revelations, but now it is serving as cannon fodder for the Liberals.
