Libranos: Their Eloquence Escapes Me
Poets, priests and poiticians
Have words to thank for their positions
Words that scream for your submission
And no-one’s jamming their transmission
And when their eloquence escapes you
Their logic ties you up and rapes you

What was the reason for the massive grant for a TV (funneled through a liberal ad firm)? Consult your playbooks, Liberals:
Money diverted to giant TV: inquiry told

By JIM BROWN

Alfonso Gagliano testifies at the sponsorship inquiry.

OTTAWA (CP) - The Liberal government took $1.5 million from its sponsorship program to build a giant TV screen for the Old Port of Montreal because it couldn't find the money anywhere else, a public inquiry was told Thursday.

But former public works minister Alfonso Gagliano, testifying for a third straight day, rejected claims that the transaction was a misuse of the program. He also maintained he wasn't aware at the time that over $300,000 went in commissions to Liberal-friendly ad agencies as part of the deal.

Gagliano said he only learned years later - from Auditor General Sheila Fraser - that the agencies were involved. (Ed-Hahaha! Good one!)

"I was surprised," he told Justice John Gomery, who is heading the inquiry looking into whether sponsorship money was misspent.

"I wondered why a communications agency had been hired. . . . I still haven't heard a good explanation, I hope some day it will come to light."

Oh...ah, "National Unity" you say?
the project was launched in 2000

....3 years after the Clarity Act, which supposedly put the sovereigntist beast to bed.
