Kyoto Protocol
The name Kyoto is in the news because of Kyoto protocol, but it's rare that the actual city is discussed. Yesterday, I spent the day with my girlfriend in Kyoto visiting the Imperial Palace, the shrines, and the bamboo forest. Also, the JR Kyoto station is quite the piece of architecture. If you ever get to visit Japan, make sure you visit Kyoto: it's definitely the most interesting city I've seen so far.
