Tax Cuts, please and thank you

TAX CUTS IN NEXT BUDGET ?
The heat is on, no doubt about it, and the chef in the kitchen feeling the heat is Finance Minister Ralph Goodale, he who yesterday announced to the country a whopping $8.9 Billion budget surplus, news that launched immediate demands for substantial tax cuts from myriad quarters high and low. Incredibly, Goodale and his Prime Minister, Paul Martin, remained unequivocal: No tax cuts! They made their stand, a good effort, it lasted about 28 hours. But now tonight, speaking to an Ottawa reporter, Goodale equivocated, admitting that "there may well be tax cuts in the next federal budget

Queue National Post relaunch of the 2000 election push for Tax Cuts! It is go time. I'm betting on an editorial tomorrow addressing this one.
