I’m a brother with a furious mind
Action must be taken
We don’t need the key
We’ll break in
Something must be done
About vengeance, a badge and a gun
’cause I’ll rip the mike, rip the stage, rip the system
I was born to rage against ’em
Fist in ya face, in the place
And I’ll drop the style clearly
Know your enemy
--Know your enemy, RATM
What's going on in Najaf? A huge battle against maniacs. I really don't like violence very much, but I am really happy the militants want to tango, because left alive, they would probably just plan and execute more terror plans I believe:
Rebels fight on as US presses in
Sadr supporters continue to hold out in the city's holy mosque
Renewed clashes pitting Iraqi rebels led by radical Shia cleric Moqtada Sadr against US-led forces continued in the southern city of Najaf on Sunday.
US tanks and armoured vehicles appeared to be moving closer to the Imam Ali mosque, still held by the rebels after 18 days of fighting, witnesses said.
US planes have carried out more air strikes, punctuated by the sound of mortars and heavy machine-gun fire.
Correspondents say talks to end the stand-off seem to be going nowhere.
Yeah, the beeb here is funny:
US tanks and armoured vehicles appeared to be moving closer to the Imam Ali mosque, still held by the rebels after 18 days of fighting
You would almost think the beeb believes the militants are admirable. I think Britain has put up a great fight after decades of a bbc propaganda assault. Decades, beeb, decades.
Back on topic, it looks like unless sadr junior can reverse his losses, he will have his gunmen permanently staying (against the will of the Shi'ites) in the mosque. Tough spot, no?
we don't need the key, we'll break in.
Don't bother Sistani with the keys, we'll find our way in, thanks.
