The Media's Take on Iraq
I realize that my own first reaction of the uprising is panic. I also realize that 'widespread uprising' sells newsprint and that the press is rabidly anti-american and most of the time desperate for an american loss (see 'the brutal afghan winter' or 'iraqi war could stretch on and on' or 'the americans have not entered baghdad', etc).
so a little breather from myself, a cool glass of water and some mark steyn should put me right. relax, i tell myself. steyn is usually right. whenever the media says anything is a disaster, it usually means the US is doing fine. i'll wait until the end of the week to post more worried thoughts than the ones below.
