Liberals: when confronted with dignity, intelligence and integrity go on the attack.

some liberal no-names are taking offence to the fact that the auditor general has the 'misperception' that the liberals were spending too much on ad agencies, and that the general public is not able to see the nuances in her report. the call it "the big lie"

the big lie? the big lie is that the liberals are trustworthy, intelligent and responsible leaders.

they lie. they cheat. and when they are called on it by someone with more integrity in her little finger then they do in their whole rotten organization they attack:

Liberal MPs confront Fraser
Mills, Phinney challenge findings
Say report led to `misperception'
(can you find 'misperception in the dictionary? i can't)

TONDA MACCHARLES
OTTAWA BUREAU

OTTAWA—Auditor-General Sheila Fraser flushed deep red (the star, predictably, adds little details to insinuate something here )yesterday under grilling by Liberal MPs, who suggested her sponsorship program findings fed a public "misperception" that Liberals funnelled money "out the back door" into friendly ad firms.

Liberal MP Dennis Mills (Toronto Danforth) called it "the big lie" fuelled by her report.(liberals? accusing the AG of lying? rich.)

Fraser found that of $250 million spent on the sponsorship program about 40 per cent, or $100 million, was spent on commissions and fees that went to a small group of hand-picked ad agencies, mostly in Quebec.

Fraser did not point out what public documents confirm — that the ad agencies were also generous contributors to the federal Liberal party. (thank you star, you just redeemed yourself)
But MP Beth Phinney (Hamilton Mountain) suggested yesterday Fraser jumped to conclusions, without enough documentation, about how the $100 million was spent. (i think everyone knows how it was spent)

Maybe, Phinney said, it's "like the HRDC billion-dollar boondoggle, which turned out to be $600 or something they couldn't find the paper for. There wasn't a billion dollars lost, but the opposition still uses those quotes."

"Is this $100 million what you people, as the auditors, can't justify?" she asked. "Further paperwork may be able to justify it, but there isn't paperwork there, as you've said? Is it absolutely a fact that $100 million has disappeared illegally into somebody's pocket?"
------------------------------

of course the answer is no, but the AG isn't a lawyer. she's the auditor. she is saying that 100 mill went into the pockets of ad agencies that did little if anything other than transfer money to crown corporations. that's the point. her real transgression was pointing this out.

notice the words "you people". commonly used by bigots to refer to groups of individuals with common traits or a group identity. Phinney says "as auditors" but what she really means is "people of character".

also note...the billion dollar boondoggle, was only 600 mill that went missing. only 600 mill that went missing. only 600 mill that went missing.

are the liberals insane?
