Bad Motha Jones on Arnie, etc..
So arnold is getting roasted by the Left? big surprise.

Davis, the author attempts to portray arnie as a racist because he dislikes the fact that millions of illegal workers and immigrants are overwhelming southern california, when he succeeded going through the legal channels. yeah, arnie's really bad about hating those immigrants. we all know he's the austrian version of 'uncle tom' because he stands with republicans.

so democrats wondered...how can we get this guy? he's an immigrant, legally...who dislikes illegal immigrants? he's from austria..which is close to germany... which means we get a 2 pronged approach

1) The Democratic Hatred of the Foreigner: Davis stating that Arnie shouldn't be governor because he "can't pronounce the name of the state"...to davis' snow white ears..: "did he say 'cal-ee-for-niah'? how provincial!"

2) Implications of racism: the mother jones states that Arnie was on the board of US English, which wants english to be the official language of the US. wow, extremist. hold the phones. i...anyways, here's the quote..

gimme a break...the KKK? this type of journalism is crap. the left have tried this with clarence thomas, miguel estrada and now arnie. any time someone is a minority who happens to agree with republicans (even though arnie is socially liberal/fiscal conservative) he is roasted. look at andrew sullivan! he's a gay conservative! how many hate-articles from salon.com have been printed about him or ann coulter?...same goes for strong right wing women...ann coulter, kathleen harris, etc could be rich if for every time the heard/read the term "right wing bitch" they got a nickel.

the left are hateful towards minorities who are free thinking, and not interested in the left. can this be accepted by the left? we have gifted men and women, who aren't interested in racial politics anymore who happen to not be white, or in arnie's case, not native-north american...

i guess the real term is "identity politics". because you are deemed to be "downtrodden" in some way, your views are now set in stone. you cannot be for fiscal conservativism, even if you don't *feel* downtrodden. you cannot be for conservative social values, because you are disabled.

the scapegoating, the hatred, the sneering, the politics of identity will be seen one of the most key variables of the last quarter century. at one time, there was reason to think it was the only issue. but not anymore. times have changed. race is still an issue, but its not what defines a person. character does.

MLK said it, and the democrats would be wise to remember.
