From the letters page of the National Post....a left wing, anti-olympic games organizer writes in:

The campaign was stacked against us, but we examined our consciences and voted accordingly. I suspect that on the whole the average no vote was a much more thoughtful vote than the average yes vote.

What an elitist, anti-democratic and ultimately snobby attitude. what a poor loser and in general what a huge idiot. His name is Ray Bannatyne, and i hope there is a special place in hell for him.

Having said that, here is the good news: the "unthinking" masses who know better than better-than-thou Ray turned out to support the city! Right on!
