The BBC is tempting fate
What can you do? You're own public broadcaster insists that its lies are true, but you are the entity that feeds them the money. obviously, no one wants to interfere with the public broadcaster too much, but it might be worth it to make sure that the BBC is not overrun by ideology like it has.

We'll see.

Israel and Palestinians Agree on Pullback in Gaza Strip
Yes, that is the headline for this story at the NY Times. What a concession on the part of the palestinians! whoa! letting the IDF leave the area. way to go!

I don't care really that the NY times is left wing. good on them. go to town. i just wish everyone would stop behaving like the NY Times is the epitome of centrist pragmatism. obviously there is a bias. let's just go ahead and recognize it.

Love the former mandela, question the present mandela
Why is it that Bush is the first president to really address AIDS in africa, putting money where his mouth is and spending serious political capital on Africa and he gets the ire of Mandela? Will mandela ever recognize the good that bush had done? With his visit to see Mbeki he going to shine the light on Africa's most successful and triumphant democracy while trying to point out that africa needs money, aid and help. Bush is the first president in long time to really push for an increased standard of living for the african continent. Just by mentioning the situation and putting a little pressure on Liberia's Taylor, he forced a truce

Meanwhile, mandela meets with De Villepin too join the anti-US forces. What has france done for africa? its sends its armies on a rampage through the congo and the ivory coast while denouncing the US constantly.

Now, i don't mean to say that mandela can't say what he wants. i'm just saying i think he should recognize bush for some of the things he has done. here is some classic mandela
