Zarqawi Theory
There's something amiss in the news reports about Zarqawi's 'wounding'..

In Iraq, Jordanian Al-Qaeda leader Abu Musab Al-Zarqawi, who is rumoured to be injured, has appointed a deputy to stand in his place.

An organization statement posted on an internet site informed that the leadership met after Zarqawi was wounded and assigned Abu Hafes Karni as his deputy until Zarqawi recovers.

Reportedly, Zarqawi chose Karni for the toughest operations and he is a respected name within the network. The announcement however disclosed no information on Zarqawi's health condition.

Zarqawi's underlings, meanwhile, have been keeping the big Z under wraps (so to speak) in regards to his whereabouts, etc....No pictures, no statements, nothing.

It's interesting that no status reports or anything else has been released...And now a successor has been named.

I'm thinking that Zarqawi's dead, and that these news releases from Al Qaida in Iraq are just softening up the troops for some bad news.

Just a gut feeling.
