Non, merci
Can I hit it in the mornin'
Without givin' you half of my dough?

The French blew the EU Constitution, and now the elites might actually stop speaking bureaucratese to the people's in Europe's ghettos, barrios, wards and, uh, Brixton.

That's the silver lining of the French "Non", apparently.

I'm surprised that euro-skepticism had moved through the Chunnel and right into Paris. Maybe the French weren't down with subsidizing every New Europe/pro-American newbie into the big group. Maybe its the revival of the great republican movement:

"Liberty! Equality! Fraternity! and Death!"

I'm hoping the French leave out the last bit.
