Mr. Guite: In the case of Mr. Saunders, which I assume was the Auditor GeneralAndrew Coyne has the details of the globe's take on the new testimony.
[...]
Mr. Fournier: No, Mr. Saunders is not the Auditor General
[...]
Mr. Guite: Who is Mr. Saunders?
Mr. Fournier: Attourney for the Government of Canada.
Kinsella gets some more unfortunate mentions...I guess he is going to have his hands full defending himself on this front. I guess this is why he has been hating on Guite for the last while...he realized Guite was no longer in his camp.
BTW: One of AC's readers (Tom) points out V&B's contributions to the Liberals
Vickers & Benson Advertising Ltd 1997 Business Liberal Party $18,791.75That's a lot of big cash. I wonder what arrangement the Liberals made with V&B to ensure continued sponsorship deals.........like, uh, more contributions........
Vickers & Benson Advertising Ltd. 1998 Business Liberal Party $14,952.42
Vickers & Benson Companies Inc. 2003 Business Liberal Party $14,078.57
Vickers & Benson Advertising Ltd. 2000 Business Liberal Party $13,933.40
Vickers & Benson Advertising Ltd. 1996 Business Liberal Party $6,442.50
Vickers & Benson 2001 Business Liberal Party $6,005.20
Vickers & Benson 1993 Business Liberal Party $6,004.60
Vickers & Benson 2002 Business Liberal Party $5,989.10
Vickers & Benson Advertising Ltd. 1995 Business Liberal Party $4,713.29
Vickers & Benson Advertising Ltd. 1994 Business Liberal Party $2,941.61
Note on the testimony:
There are some legitimate questions about the sponsorship of immigrant owned businesses since there was the impression that this demographic was firmly in the pro-federal camp for the referendum. It's not like its that relevant, though. By now its obvious that unity is just was excuse to shower Liberal friends with cash.
