How long can we wait?
Come on, seein' what's at stake

Hariri killing fallout: Lebanon govt collapses
BEIRUT, FEBRAURY 28: Lebanon's Syrian-backed government collapsed today, piling more pressure on Damascus, already under fire from US and Israel. Prime Minister Omar Karami, under Opposition fire since the February 14 assassination of his predecessor Rafik Al-Hariri, told parliament his government was resigning to ensure it ‘‘does not become an obstacle to the good of the country’’.

Yeah, so you thought you could get with the hardlines
That fill your mind
Thoughts, battles fought
And lessons taught
Yes I'll display the fitness
And flip like a gymnast
Raise my fist and resist

President Emile Lahoud accepted the resignation and asked it to continue in a caretaker capacity.
The news delighted thousands of demonstrators who had defied an official ban to protest Syrian domination of Lebanon. Banks, schools and businesses had closed after an Opposition call for an anti-Syrian general strike.
Druze Opposition leader Walid Jumblatt said the ‘‘people have won’’ and called for calm. ‘‘Today we are at a new turning point in the history of the country,’’ he said.

This is a stick up
Our freedom or your life
Lord, I wish I could be peacful
But there can be no sequel
Now freedom must be fundamental
In Johannesburg or South Central
