Change the Stem Cell Game
I thought the World would change
In the blink of an eye
--J. Jones

This is the revolutionary stuff that changes the frame- The embryo/stem cell ethical debate could be a moot point:
Kyoto University team develops stem cells without using embryos

Yomiuri Shimbun

A team of Kyoto University scientists has produced cells with characteristics and functions similar to those of embryonic stem (ES) cells by nurturing the testis stem cells of a mouse.

The team, led by Prof. Takashi Shinohara, published its results in Wednesday's issue of U.S. science magazine Cell.

The findings may become an option to controversial ES cell research.

Worth watching...I'll be keeping an eye on this one. I was just in Kyoto yesterday...I should run by the university there, but today we're going to Hiroshima.
