Actually,
let's get this straight. He didn't really make any allegation. The FBI are
interrogating this guy guilty of six murders, a junkie, an extortionist and
loanshark and for some strange reason wave a picture of a Liberal Cabinet
Minister in front of him, according to documents obtained by the Globe and Mail. Does that not make it newsworthy itself? And for an even stranger reason this murderer, extortionist, junkie and loanshark in New York recognizes him and says he met him in a
Montreal catering hall.

I don't see how one has to be a bigot to decide that's newsworthy and
worthy of further investigation, with the caveat that there may very well be
perfectly innocent explanations for such an odd string of
events.

Seems fair. The whole thing is shady, that's for sure.... and it is definitely newsworthy.
