Hey! Tellier
Baby I got your money
Don't you worry
I said Hey! Tellier
Baby I got your money
Don't you worry
If Tellier wants his money,
I think ya'll should give him his money
Bombardier playing in the club like this all night
Liberals put your cash out and let me hold it tight
You're looking at my plane sayin'
"It's so nice!!"
The price, Libs is diamonds,
shining airport lights
You better help me solve my problem
Or I'm ah get this money and rob them
--ODB (with apologies)
Bourque goes off on Tellier and Friends today. I wonder what our motivation is for continued sponsorship of Bombardier. It's one thing if the industry is in its infant stage and there is a strategic advantage to protection, but Bombardier has been around for ages and we still protect them. Can they not stand on their own two feet without losing tonnes of money? What message does this send big business in Canada? Don't worry about failure, because the gov will prop you up no matter what? What kind of skewed incentives are these?
Is there a pressing need to be in the airline industry? To compete with other stellar jurisdictions, like Brazil? Why? We could be using these resources for something self sustaining and productive in the form of tax cuts, or higher education...so many uses for this money and its wasted on the cozy friends of the government under the guise of 'competition'.
Give me a reason we need to throw money away like this. Seriously. And don't say 'unity'.
