Renegades
You are a witness to Change
and to Counteract?
We gotta Take The Power Back
--RATM

Damian goes off on the possibilities of the blogosphere's applications in the Canadian political scene..a question raised by a conservative political assistant's question.

Damian covers some of what we can do:
Bloggers can counteract the leftist MSM bias in Canada by continuing to do what we’re already doing: blog like pitbulls with a sore tooth. Fisk like Tarantino. Inspire like Flea. Dissect and ridicule like Kate. Analyze like The Tiger, or Chris Taylor. Rant like Dr. Monger or Occam's Carbuncle. And continue to grow like by supporting some of the best of the newer blogs: Shenanigans, Jerry Aldini, and others I haven’t even discovered yet.

What else?
We're the renegades
We're the people
With our own philosophy
We Changed the course of history
Everyday people like you and me

One of our greatest assets is our speed. To counter "spin and stupidity" (ie: Rathergate, etc) the internet and bloggers can instantly react to any event by sourcing work instantly, referring to reports, emailing, brainstorming and finally coming to a conclusion (or conclusions) after reasonable discourse. As Rathergate showed, bloggers may not be experts in one area (typewriters) but we can sure find someone who is. We can link to expert opinions, toss our own ideas into the mix and link to reports by alternative media that can undermine msm claims. Our power is numbers. Our power is speed. Our power is resourcefulness.

But there is no power in an "echo chamber". We can disagree, discuss and come out with superior opinions at the end of the day. And, barring fascist attempts to limit freedom of expression, we will prevail.

PS: We're not going anywhere. Remember how they said rap was a fad? Blogging is far more widespread and popular and there are zero barriers to entry to this game.
50 years down the line
you could start this
Cause we'll be
the old school artists
