Power, Finally

The opposition benches might not set the agenda, but they are sure starting to feel out their strength:

Conservative Leader Stephen Harper said he'd meet with his caucus on Tuesday night and prepare the amendment to deliver to Martin's minority government.

----------------------
[Jack] Layton said he was disheartened that the prime minister didn't provide specifics on child care and the gas tax, he was pleased about Martin's offer to look at electoral reform.

If you read the cbc article (or have been watching this game all summer), it seems like the liberals are playing a dangerous game: they don't even attempt to include the opposition parties in the agenda for the coming session and yet they are almost daring the opposition to bring down the government. It's like they still believe they have a majority.....
