I have been wrong before, and then I have been wrong. Kerry has pulled ahead in some key states and now leads the electoral votes...Arkansas (Arkansas?!) has become a complete tie whereas Penn, Ohio and Michigan are all Kerry States now....Even Nevada has moved to the blue.
Electoral Vote Predictor 2004: Kerry 270 Bush 248
It is pretty close in these states, meaning that about 100 electoral votes depends on a few thousand fickle voters. This looks like a race again.
To be honest, I have been fairly impressed with Kerry in the debates, and if I were in the US, I would be one of the undecideds. Bush impresses me with his foreign policy of being pro active in exporting freedom. His domestic policy of attacking gay rights while the war on terror rages is an enourmous waste of brainpower and resources.
Kerry worries me, though. He doesn't believe in making the sacrifices to make Iraq democratic and he will owe some big favours to the crazy left if he wins Who knows what that will entail. He will probably be more mindful of alliances and allies than Bush has been, and that probably means less hostility towards Canada (Softwood, etc). I really wish that McCain would show up in the last minute as an independent and take the cake.
