when is the last time the UN deplored innocent women and babies being killed in their own homes by palestinian gunmen? answer: never.
you know, even if you are anti semitic (UN, bbc, cbc, npr, arab press) you should probably have enough common sense or decency to deplore the kiling of innocents. do you hate jews enough to to blindside even common standards of decency towards others?

Israel's shelling of protesters draws fierce international rebukes, MARK MacKINNON reports

JERUSALEM -- Ten Palestinians, mainly children and teenagers, were killed yesterday and 50 people injured when an Israeli tank shell ripped through a crowd of protesters in the Gaza Strip.
Late yesterday, with the United States abstaining, the UN Security Council condemned the killings and demanded that Israel halt the demolition of Palestinian homes. The decision by Israel's closest ally to allow the adoption of a critical resolution reflected Washington's displeasure at Israel's latest foray into Gaza.
U.S. deputy ambassador James Cunningham, who abstained from the 14-0 vote, urged Israel to exercise restraint, saying its Gaza incursion has not helped "peace and security."
Although Israeli officials maintained that their troops had only fired warning shots at the protesters marching through the battle-scarred streets near the Rafah refugee camp, television cameras captured a large explosion erupting in the middle of the crowd. Two men could be seen lying on the street while bloodied victims, many of them boys under the age of 10, were loaded into ambulances and taxicabs.
actually, israeli officials admitted to firing at the crowds, but only because gunmen had opened fire. and the marjority of the dead were not children. two casualties were teenagers, and they were taken to hospital. thats okay, yesterday our press was ramping up the dead to a number of around 20. facts are optional, in this line of work.
thanks globe and mail. can we have some honest reporting about the 'protestors'? or the world wide 'rebuke'? or how about honest reporting? how about this headline:
"anti semitic press hates israel: context of actions irrelevant, studies show"
