Oil and the War

with all the discussion of the wmd's or any other excuse for the left to attack the war efforts on the US, the media in particular has lost sight of some of the issues surrounding the left's on theories for going to war.

oil.

in both afghanistan and iraq, both times the critics screamed that there was a war for oil. both times. both times they were wrong. what happened to the pipeline in afghanistan that was supposedly the cause for war? what happened to the pipeline from iraq to israel, where the evil 'zionists' would take the oil from?

there is no mention, no remorse, no recant. mainstream news like the bbc and cbc would go on during newscasts claiming as usual that 'many critics' (aka: the news editors) claim that the war is simply an imperialist attack to syphon oil from iraq. does anyone have to answer for this? why is this obvious lie not been countered thus far?
