Canadian Election: Polling Numbers

liars, damn liars.....and mofo pollsters. did it occur to anyone that during the californian gubernatorial election that swarzeneggar (sp?) was down to bustamante by about five percent and then went on to win by about 20%? he was polling at 30% and ended up with 50%. how did this happen?

what we see in canada is extremely similar. the reformers, the alliance and whatnot always polled lower than what they actually performed...especially in the west.

now comes EKOS with its latest pro liberal BS, that is actually downplaying the overall increase by the conservatives in the race...while SES polls at 34% libs to 31% cons, EKOS says:

Overall, the poll shows Liberals have 38 per cent support among decided voters, with the Conservatives at 30.4, the NDP at 18 and the Bloc Québécois at 10.7. (The poll, conducted by EKOS Research Associates in 1,306 telephone interviews last week, is considered accurate within 2.7 percentage points, 19 times out of 20.)
