Vennat files suit against Ottawa

Montreal -- Michel Vennat, former president of the Business Development Bank of Canada, has filed a lawsuit against the federal government for what he is calling his "illegal dismissal."

The lawsuit is in addition to a motion for judicial review filed in Federal Court asking to quash and cancel decrees by Ottawa that led to Mr. Vennat's suspension and dismissal last month. CP
