Hizbollah and Lebanon: sad state.

The failure of government and its implications for society

Last week, four teenagers were harshly beaten by Hizbullah members, in a scene that was reminiscent of some Hollywood movie, in front of their family members and friends.
The 15 to 17-year-old boys were beaten after they hit a student, whose father is a Hizbullah official, during a brawl at their school in Hadath.
In such a situation, the school usually handles the problem by dismissing the boys from school or by sending a warning to students not to repeat such quarrels inside the school.
Well, that did not happen. The boys were driven by Hizbullah members into a tent, which had originally been set up to celebrate Ashoura in the middle of Beirut's southern suburbs.
They were beaten for around half an hour and were later released in very bad physical condition, prompting their parents to send them directly to the hospital.
Imagine the scene: Students inside a tent beaten to death, while the Internal Security Forces personnel are waiting for them outside with the parents. What is the role of government, and who is responsible here for exercising punishment and implementing the law?

notice the reporters careful wording to avoid blaming hizbollah. how sad is this...hizbollah is responsible for administering 30min beatings for minor infractions amongst boys. pathetic. this used to be paris of the middle east? now its a gangland.
