The Age of Aquarius

One of the fascinating aspects of the da vinci code, has been the emphasis on negative effects of the church. The first 2000 years after the death of jesus known as the age of piecses, was a time when man was supposed to be lead. The age of aquarius, the next 2000 years was supposed to be a time when people began thinking for themselves.

interesting concept. i think the age of being lead by the church, despite its sometimes brutal attacks and death rattles it issues, began to fade with st. francis of assisi, openly calling for free thought and free peoples. the thinkers of the monastaries and universities must have known they were living in a dark era, having read the teachings of the greek scholars.

long live scepticism and free thought.
