Paul Martin: the (hahhahahaha) honest PM

here he is, our new head of state joke:

"This is not a Quebec issue," he said. "This is a national issue and we will deal with it."

The Liberals had been planning a spring election, but Martin suggested that might now be delayed so Canadians can get the facts on how the party handled its finances.

Voters, he said, will eventually judge him by how he has responded to the auditor general's revelations.

"I don't believe that any government faced with a situation such as this has ever as quickly as we did." --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

what a sack of.....he's not resigning, he's not firing any former chretienites in his cabinet and he's got a five month inquiry. dealing with it? he is it!

if he was really dealing, he'd resign, get that inquiry headed by ms. fraser and get this thing done and start being honest. deal with it with honestly. "i didn't know" is the most obvious lie in canadian politics. ever. you sign the cheques, you are the finance minister and the most senior quebec minister at the time. you are the right hand man of the PM and you are not to be trusted. ever again. when you talk, eyes start rolling. by the way, the next time a "BC sponsorship scandal" starts, i will eat my hat.

it is a quebec issue. big time. its also a "the federal liberal party is a group of lying, cheating, manipulative, arrogant, stealing lawyers" problem. i'm not really anti liberal so much as i'm against lying SOB's continually screwing the rest of Canada.

and any of the western liberals should be ashamed representing a party like that on the west coast. how do you look yourself in the eye, david anderson? never mind, you probably don't anyways.

anyways, i wish sheila fraser would run for the conservatives... a guy can dream can't he?
