Rapper DMC of RUN DMC fame has hooked up with an unexpected collaborator for his next single - none other than Canadian singer-songwriter Sarah McLachlan. The pair have recorded a version of the 70s hit "Cat's In The Cradle." In recent interviews, DMC has called McLachlan his "favourite artist of all time". (ed: what the...? really? no really?)No release date for the collaboration has been announced.

Meanwhile, McLachlan has donated a recipe for currant cake to a new book, "Food That Rocks: Favorite Recipes from the Hottest Kitchens in Music." Proceeds from the book will be donated to women in developing countries.
