Right Wingers of Canada! Unite!
alright boys, put the pitchforks down, the egos in the attic and let's get it on, right winger styles.
mo' right wing, less liberals.
the conservatives have their heads out of their nether regions and got down to work. necessity is the mother of political mergers.
"These things have been underway, I think, well over the summer," Hyder told CTV's Canada AM Thursday. "They're coming out now because people are back on Parliament, and these things have a way of getting in the media when that happens."
He added that the perception of the Paul Martin "juggernaut" steamrolling into the prime minister's office is also at play.
"How real that is, we will find out in the next election. It's a threat that both parties need to consider."
As for the chances of the two parties pulling it off in time for the election, Hyder isn't holding out hope.
"I wouldn't bet my house on it. Probably well less than 50-50," Hyder said. "The burden of time is running against them... History suggests that this isn't going to be easy, and the leaders are under pressure.
"That's a high-risk proposition."
bite it, david orchard. and 50%? count on a rejoined party by december, i'd say.
