A glowing review for Mr. Arafat, care of the Independent
The idependent writes a curiously sympathetic review of Arafat, while blasting the "israeli state" as haters, carefully manouevering against the harmless arafat.
Israel fumes as Arafat basks in international limelight
the truth is, this monster of al-asqa has been planning the destruction of israel since israel was born, while the israelis have patiently tried to deal with him as the only, sorry, most 'legitimate' leader of the palestinians. i use the word 'legitimate' loosely in this case.
here's the money quote:
On the one hand, the wording of the decision makes it possible for Israel to delay almost indefinitely. On the other, it means that one of the most right-wing governments in the history of the Israeli state has given itself the authority to act against Mr Arafat if it judges that the circumstances demand it. And the government could yet become boxed in to taking this step because of its own rhetoric.
Given itself legitimacy? What the hell are these guys talking about?....the west bank and gaza are still part of Israel. its not PC to say, but israel fought the hordes of enemies surrounding it in '67 to protect itself, and as a result they own these lands. period. they have all the legitimacy any other country has to deport a terrorist on their lands.......
and oh yes, they're aren't boxed into anything....nice step adding 'rhetoric' without qualification. more like a 'trial balloon'.....
and i guess "most right wing government" is socialist for "disgusting assholes". like it matters how right wing they are... how does this relate to the story?
