Radiohead.
I finally burned some radiohead songs i'd been listening to for a while. interesting stuff. i really like the 'kid A' cd. holding the soaring vocals over the melodies is good stuff....and you don't often see it. its seems the brits have the male vocalists who can do this.....U2, verve, radiohead, oasis...all competent song writers (although #1, #2 and #4 are increasingly bad)...and..obviously drawing on these influences, vancouverite matt goode.

american rock has faster, choppier vocals....it seems. just an observation.
