PAPER: N. Korea exports missiles to Iran by airSUN Jun 15 2003 23:51:37 ET
SEOUL, June 16 (Kyodo) _ North Korea transported containers believed to be carrying missiles to Iran by air six times over about two months from April, a Seoul daily reported Monday.
The JoonAng Ilbo quoted South Korean and U.S. intelligence sources as saying U.S. intelligence satellite data indicate an Iranian Il-76 transport plane made direct flights with the containers from Pyongyang's Sunan airport to Iran six times from April to June 10.
After analyzing information obtained through various channels, South Korean and U.S. intelligence authorities tentatively concluded that disassembled warheads and Rodong missiles -- the same type sold to Pakistan in 1998 -- were inside the containers, the paper said.
They believe North Korea has changed the way it exports missiles after a North Korean vessel carrying missiles was seized on its way to Yemen last December, it said. -----as reported by drudge
Can we just start the military strikes against north korea already? let's hit them osirak reactor style, with a swift punch in the north korean groin: at their nuke facilities. They aren't going to touch north korea with their guns, or they'll be vaporized, and now that the US military is going to be out of conventional weapons range, the US has an opportunity...
if the north koreans suffer a minimal loss of life, they may even decide not to report to their own people the strikes against the nuke facilities......and maybe just suffer this little indignity in silence...but without nuclear weapons. We'll see.
