EUwwwww
It appears as if some countries that have ended the violent struggle for domination, have really struck gold with their Napoleonic diplomacy. France is now King of Europe. Can their be any doubt after reading this?. First of all, the French use massive EU subsidies from Germany and England to keep their countryside looking pastoral and keep overpaid and inefficient french farmers at work.

then they have a french appointee who creates a EU constitution that says, effectively, that Europe is one voice on the world stage, with all that entails. The EUnch constitution makes room for an albeit 'democratically' elected president and a foreign minister. hmm, will spain and britain be lopped into the same foreign policy as Germany? I believe that for all the apparent goodwill between these nations, sovereignty and basic common sense as well as wildly diverging interests will tear some of this to shreds.

Consider France. Here is a middle power with a nuke that has a mediocre, if not stagnant economy, with a total influx of un-assimilated immigrants, massive subsidization of its farms and an extremely ambitious plan to slowly take over Europe. Can we be certain that the smokescreen of the idea of 'europe' will hide their ambitions? Their envy of the US?
